Reiki is a Japanese technique of “Laying on hands” to help reduces stress and relaxation as well as help in the healing of the body and the “ life force energy” that we all have.
The word Reiki is a combination of two Japanese words. Rei – means “God’s wisdom or Higher power”. Ki – means “ life force energy” . So, Reiki really means “guided spiritual life force energy”
A Reiki treatment feels like a warm, flowing energy that completely surrounds you. In a Reiki session the whole person is treated.. this includes the body, mind and spirit, as well as emotions. The feeling of peace, wellbeing, and security are commonly felt.

The technique of Reiki is simple to learn and to help others after your first class. The art of Reiki is transferred to the students during what is called an “attunement” by a Reiki Master, teacher. After the class, the student is able to access the supply of “Life force energy” to help improve both the parishioner and the client’s health and quality of life.

There are several different types or styles of Reiki one of the most common is what is called Usui. I am not discrediting the other styles, I am a Usui Reiki Master as well as a Holy Fire Reiki Master and a Karona level II. Reiki is not a religion, there is no dominate belief that you must follow for it to work.
